Hello! I am a qualified, registered, and professional counsellor. My qualifications include:

· Diploma of Professional Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors,
· Study Major in ‘Relationships Counselling and Conflict Resolution,’
· Study Major in ‘Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Trauma Counselling.’
· Study Major in ‘Child Development and Effective Parenting’
· Listed on the National Register for Counselling
· Professional Member of the Australian Counselling Association (National Peak Body)
I am on the Board and have Chaired Counselling Tasmania Incorporated, the Tasmanian affiliated branch of the Australian Counselling Association, and I am a member of Pathways of Light ®. I have been employed as the counsellor and community support worker with Rural Primary Health Services in Glamorgan Spring Bay Municipality (previously Regional Health Services) and have also been the Southern Coordinator/Family Support Worker for ARAFMI Tasmania (Association for Relatives and Friends of people with Mental Illness) for three and a half years, and the Treasurer for the Tasmanian Family Therapy Association.
I run a Private Counselling Practice in Hobart and surrounding suburbs, the Derwent Valley and the East Coast of Tasmania. I have further experience and knowledge in human services having worked in the fields of Mental Health, Intellectual Disability and Geriatric Nursing for many years, both in Tasmania and Queensland.
I counsell using our unique “Advanced Therapy Model” with a gentle blend of Accessing Inner Wisdom Counselling based on A Course In Miracles, Voice Dialogue Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Creative Therapy, Transactional Analysis Counselling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.

I come from a long line of philosophers and teachers with my father, Dr. Ralph. H. Cruickshank, being a Doctor of Philosophy and has been a Senior Lecturer at the Tasmanian University , and my mother a teacher of Piano and music both privately and at many Primary and High Schools in Southern Tasmania. They are now both enjoying retirement.
