Eligible members are now able to claim benefits for my services. You can verify your eligibility by phoning 132 331.
Benefits may not be available for services provided to inpatients of public hospitals, or inpatients of private hospitals with whom Medibank have a special benefit arrangement for this treatment. Medibank also don’t generally pay benefits for care and accommodation at an Aged Care Facility. Medibank recommends that you call their customer inquiry line on 132 331 to confirm that a particular service is available at an Aged Care Facility.

Ambulance transport
If your medical condition means you can’t be transported any other way, they will cover the cost of your ambulance transport (unless you already have cover e.g. under a state scheme). This is something that’s included in all their hospital, extras (except in Qld and Tas) and packaged covers listed on their website.

There is a 6 month waiting period and entitlements apply from 1 January each year.

Medibank Private’s top hospital and extras packaged cover. The best option if you want cover for a wide variety of extras or you have particular health concerns. Also a good option if you’re planning to start a family or have more children.
